hello i have a 7 month old puppy thats wants total freedom in the home my husband gives it to her but i do supervision over her i dont let her run loose unless im their with her which triainingg is best
This information about crates was so needed, I’m struggeling really hard with having my puppy in a crate because she can’t deal with being in it at all. Gonna try doing this more regularly
We have 2 new puppies that are brothers and used to being with each other and we keep them together but I’m wondering if we should be putting them in separate crates?
Thank you for this. Ive watched your videos before I had my first puppy. He's a ball of energy and now that he's 5months old he's starting to learn the do's and dont's in the household. Now Murfy is such a delight to have. A lovable and affectionate beagle 😊
Loving your videos! I have a question. We have mostly very small dogs like Yorkie and Maltese and Chihuahua. We hear very much that you cannot put a collar on them even temporarily because of possible damage to the trachea. How true do you find this to be? We would like to be able to use a collar and house lead for training. TIA.
Thank you I’m old and disabled I get exhausted with my new baby … it’s only day 2… but watching you videos have helped so much… I have a sweet baby… with a lot of energy and I’m doing my best… she’s coming around❤❤❤
Thanks is it to late too get a line on my pup he will be five month next Friday? and he only goes in crate when I go out and not at night either he sleeps by our bed on the floor he lol sometimes on our bed for fifteen twenty minutes mostly on the floor
so my husband‘s family had a bunch of dogs, so I’m a bit familiar with the puppy situation. I just got a multipoo toy puppy about eight weeks. First thing I did when I brought him here. It was dog proof everything and then I went to buy him extra stuff and he’s basically been under my supervision even when he’s sleeping i’m just trying to make sure he’s good and then he’s so tiny. I had to get a kitten leash just so I can hear when he’s around or moving because I can’t hear him so the bill helps as I’m typing this. I’m looking at his dog house that I cover with a blanket because I thought I was doing the right thing by making sure his dog bowl was full, but I overfedand he’s resting now
We have a very small puppy. She weighs about 2.5 pounds and will top out at 5-6lbs. My question is how long a line and should I use one on a dog this small?
2 things thought. What happens if your puppy has an accident in the crate. How do you know when to take her out of the crate to give her a bit more freedom. It's a minefield
Too much freedom ??? How even can you have a dog if you do not respect his/ hers right to be free ? If you can not tolerate dog at home do not take one ! I am sick of “humans” making “dolls” of animals. They are cruel creatures not Humans.
Excellent video! I am getting a puppy soon and I’m trying to get all the information I can before I bring him home. Every one of your videos has given me great advice. Well done.
What about a 3 yr old rescue dog that’s pretty good just not as much with my commands if I say sit for a treat she will but goes to her bed, not right where I am! Outside she will is that ok?? Should I not fight that battle cuz she’s good most the rest of the time lol outside “sometimes” she won’t come when I call her, I take the leash out and put it on her and bring her in!
Our puppy was rescued from a bad situation. I believe she was kept in a crate for most of her young life. Any alternatives or suggestions because I think she may have PTSD from living in a crate
I can't move my crate from room to room without collapsing it. is having more than one in the house a good idea? I have it in our bedroom right now and have a playpen during the day, but I'm worried she will eventually figure out how to get out of the playpen.
ouch….just found you….just got a pup 4 weeks ago….he is so mouthy and defiant…..and i now see that i am all about freedom….i dont like boundries and its freedom i am giving my Sam pup……daily i will listen and practice…thanksyou
Used a leash/line to train an untrained, aggressive and very heartbroken 9 yr old rescue pomeranian that had zero rules previously and was acting out moreso because he was ripped away from his human companion after 9 years. It saved is both.
Dont leave a dog in a cage for long. In some country's its even illegal. Its like leaving the child in the playpen when you leave the house, but the child have much more space ,even.
If you dont have the time to learn the puppy to be alone /the right steps,to mske it feel safe, then dont get a puppy at all. Its selfish. Bad for the dog.
Its easyer to adopt a adult dog, even , but you still have to have the time for it,tho.
A garden is never enough for a dog either. They need walks, every day, too! They need to get to smell other dogs ,and rome a bit.
So ,those country's where you cant just keave dog in the garden, and dont leave it cage ,and a demand for yearly vetenerian/vaxine/de worm/health control , and off corse also a id under dogs skin … All those things is what is the expectation in those country's who are updated on the science and whats best for tge dog(and cats). Imma bit suprized this is not a fact in america, yet … I always thought american's are updated. So i hope it happen soon. People need to get knowledge about pets and how to treat them. For the best for animals. They should never pay the price of humans lack if knowledge .

My puppy is a chihuahua and I see where most don’t recommend a collar but a harness. I have those but my question is in using a house line is a collar still used or should it be in a harness instead? Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I love your videos.

what age group is this for? 😅
I watch my pup 24:7. Im a stay at home mom of grown adults 😵💫😊
Do I leave the leash on when in the crate?
How do we do the house line if we have a cat. Would that involve correcting the cat when she chases it?
Thank you!

I use a puppy play pen during the day when I can’t supervise. I use her crate for night time which is in my bedroom.
That is what I did with my new Chow puppy, put the line on him. Though my husband kept taking it off. Thanks to Kayl, I learned a lot from her.
I watch ALL of your videos! My new puppy comes home in 3 weeks! I've got it all down and she's going to be the smartest most well behaved dog ever!
Loving your videos!

I would be afraid of them getting caught somewhere and
🙏🙏🙏❤️👌👏💐🌺💥🙏🙏🙏
Some people keep their dogs for hours in a crate, which is cruel and totally unacceptable. What alternative is there from this

Is there something other than a house line?
My other dog thinks it’s for walking dragging puppy.
What if you’re puppy is an outside pup
The blue hair says it all lol

Do you recommend using the line method on a harness or just a collar?

I've had people use it as punishment for their puppy
the biggest mistake pet owners can do as having them vaccinated
Absolutely a brilliant video

6:05 Proper use of Crate
Why crate over pen?
Used a leash/line to train an untrained, aggressive and very heartbroken 9 yr old rescue pomeranian that had zero rules previously and was acting out moreso because he was ripped away from his human companion after 9 years. It saved is both.
my puppy bites me hard whenever I use a lead to stop him doing something. How do I get around this
I started the day with the line before watching this. I am putting it back on. She is chewing it so I am putting the chain line on.
How long should the house line be?
Should the puppy sleep in his crate with the house line on? How long should the line be?
