I always gave my dogs either raw honey or manuka honey. But never before they were one year old because it wasn't good for them. I have a question My dog is 17 months old he is a great Pyrenees mix. I wanted to start giving him honey but I was told that great Pyrenees dogs do not fully mature until they're 2 years old and I should hold off the honey until he is 2 years old. Is that true or is it safe to give him Manuka honey at this age? I would very much appreciate if anyone could answer this for me. Thank you ๐
Thank you for the informative video. However, I would like to emphasize that breaking capsules is not advisable, as doing so can render the active ingredients inactive. Capsules are specifically designed to protect the contents from stomach acid, allowing them to reach the intestines intact. Probiotics, in particular, are intended for intestinal health and can be destroyed in the stomach if the capsules are compromised.
I took my 10 year old Yorkie to have a tooth removed n a full cleaning. I got a call hours later saying that the build up of plaque was so bad that it was causing a gum disease. The vet removed 16 teeth (with permission); that were effecting his gum n I was in shock to see my dog with no front teeth but with only his frontK-9. The back teeth were still intact. What a horrible experience for both of us. I cried for days n felt like a bad fur mom. It was a terrible experience n it caused trauma to both of us. I clean his teeth but he fights me n growls at me. I hate this process n the feeling we both go thru. ๐ข

My dog won't let me brush his teeth or rub his teeth. Instead, he will chew on a toothbrush loaded with coconut oil and kelp powder with his back teeth every night. However, that doesn't do enough to keep his teeth clean, and he lost 2 teeth in his recent dental cleaning. ๐ข

Thank you! You're the best. We have a place in Montreal where they groom, which also offers dental care, if the dog is ok with it. Scaling, et al. Plus ears, anal glands, etc. We are going to give them a try first and see. Plus I've noticed her plush toys seem to be helping her teeth as well. All the best.

Donโt use metal utensils with live raw honeyโฆuse wood or glass. Metal spoons kill the honeyโs enzymes. Hence, the wooden honeycomb spoons that are used for honeypots. โค

I wish cats were as easy as dogs but itโs so hard to make them take even 1/3 of what your dog did. I keep trying with a bunch of dental treats and brushing their teeth when they let me. Thank for the tips
