Leaving your dog behind when you travel can be tough, so finding a safe and enjoyable boarding facility can make all the difference. Dogtopia offers a top-tier dog boarding experience, combining fun, safety, and personalized care in a welcoming and comfortable environment. Whether you’re going on vacation, balancing a busy work schedule, or just need a trusted place for your dog to stay overnight, Dogtopia is here to provide you with peace of mind.

What Will Your Dog Do While Boarding?

Your dog’s stay at Dogtopia is packed with exciting and enriching activities designed to keep them happy and healthy. And unlike other boarding facilities, we don’t charge extra for things like playroom games, rest breaks, or meals. All boarding dogs participate in open-play daycare, and each day is thoughtfully structured to provide the perfect balance of exercise, play, and relaxation. Your dog will enjoy engaging in group play sessions and activities with other dogs of similar size and energy levels, offering a fantastic opportunity for socialization and fun.

There’s also a designated amount of time each day when dogs can unwind and recharge. From 12–2 p.m., every pup gets their own “me” time in a cozy, home-style crate, giving them a chance to rest up for the afternoon ahead. During this time, we’ll also provide lunch and administer any medications, if necessary.

After nap time, the fun continues with open-play daycare for the rest of the day. To keep your dog mentally stimulated, we offer enrichment activities designed to keep pups entertained and engaged throughout the day. Your dog can enjoy dog-safe bubbles, dance parties and play games like Follow the Leader, and learn skills like door control and group sit. Our skilled Canine Coaches are always on hand to monitor your dog closely and ensure they get any extra breaks they may need.

After a full day of exercise and fun, your pup will be tired but happy when they spend the night with us. They sleep in our home-style crates in the same room where they were playing earlier, so they feel safe and comfortable. Many Dogtopia locations also offer suites.

How We Keep Your Dog Safe

At Dogtopia, safety is a top priority. Each of our facilities adheres to strict safety protocols to ensure every dog’s comfort and well-being. Each pup is evaluated during our Meet & Greet session, where we confirm their vaccinations, review their history and health, and perform a full nose-to-tail assessment.

Additionally, your pup is introduced to dogs slowly and then put in a playroom with other dogs who match their size, temperament, and play style, and our team closely supervises them. Live webcams are in place so that you can check on your pup during playtime and see what they are up to.

For additional information on our safety measures, you can view our list of 10 commitments to safety.

Preparing Your Dog for Their Stay

To ensure your dog has a smooth and enjoyable boarding experience, we recommend introducing them to our daycare services before their overnight boarding stay. Bringing your pup in for at least one day of daycare (three days is ideal) helps them acclimate to the facility, gets them familiar with our team, and teaches them that you’ll always come back to bring them home. Just like a new kid at a new school, we want to make sure your dog is happy and comfortable at Dogtopia, and these prep days help acclimate your dog before a longer boarding stay. They also allow us to learn about their unique personality and play preferences so we can provide the best experience possible.

Remember to bring your dog’s food to maintain their regular diet. While we encourage you to bring bedding that will help your dog feel comfortable, we ask that you leave toys at home to prevent any possessiveness or damage during group play.

If you’re ready to book a stay or want to learn more about how Dogtopia can cater to your dog’s needs during overnight boarding, visit your nearest Dogtopia location or schedule a Meet & Greet.
