Keep in mind it’s up to you! Being disabled is defined as having something that negatively impacts your day to day life and makes it hard to live life to the fullest! If whatever your experiencing makes it hard to live your life to the fullest than it very much so can be disabling🤷♀️🤷♀️ honestly no one gets to decide if you’re disabled or not besides yourself. Because only you can understand what extent your symptoms effects you.. And just because you have a disability/diagnosis doesn’t necessarily mean you need a service dog either! Service dogs are super helpful but some disabilities service dogs just can’t help with! Service dogs are one of the many many pieces of medical equipment so they might necessarily be the right piece of medical equipment for you! They need to know atleast one task to directly help you mitigate your disability! And if you think a service dog can benefit you an make your life better I would recommend trying to talk to your doctor about if a service dog would properly benefit you!!❤❤
READ THIS TOO I don’t have headaches. I have chronic migraines. Migraines are way worse than headaches. And with everything else going on top of my migraines it is disabling.
AND READ THIS I’m not talking about people who train service dogs in this video. I’m very much so talking about people who PERSONALLY OWN a service dog. Not people who train them..
ALSO READ THIS BECAUSE YALL ARE WEIRD. I never once said that people can’t have service dogs for mental disabilities. Idk where that even came from. The disabilities in this video are SOME of MINE.
Can I just say, I get what you are saying but you don’t need to be “disabled” to have a service dog, sure you can’t have a service dog if there’s nothing that you can’t handle but what I’m trying to understand is what does “disabled” mean to you? If you have anxiety to have a service dog or emotional support animal is that disabled? Because to me that’s just people who had had or has a hard past or present.(no hate toward you though)
Bc when I have anxiety and stress but I have diabetes soo I have a service dog. About him: He's a pugnése (Pekenese and pug) He's black! He's 9 months old He's training! I will make a vest just for him (HE SO CUTE!!)
I unfortunately don't think I'd be able to train or take care of a service dog. I hope someday I can, because none of my disabilities are going away anytime soon. I thing a SD would be life-changing
I am not spreading Hate/ my opinion i think this is wrong you can have a service dog a you have trauma or panic attacks not just if you’re disabled and stuff and you can also have a service for breakdowns. It’s not just for this or stop arguing about them honestly not that deep.
I have a question I have schizophrenia and hallucinogen and said it’s considered a disability but I just want to clarify if I can get a service dog 🙂 it would really help when hallucinations when not connected to reality .. I also have anxiety at the same time interlinked when I have them and can’t breathe right and panic
no u don’t? fuck this video, i don’t really mean to give any hate or be rude but i’m not disabled yet i have struggled my entire life and i’m still struggling but i personally think service dogs are for mental health, anxiety, depression, etc. mostly just things like that but again this is my opinion and i don’t mean any hate.
A service dog is defined as a dog that is trained to do a task for you that you cannot do on your own. So while technically, you do not have to have a disability to have a service dog, most people without one would not be able to have one. People with allergies can get them to warn of contamination though!
I’m asthmatic I get dizzy every day every night I always feel like sh-t and I hate it I’m taking anxiety meds and allergy pills but I hate I wanna cry everyday I don’t know any more what it feels like like….to be normal…
Yeah, I have social anxiety, I don't need a service dogs there's a huge difference between service dogs and emotional support dogs Edit: you can have service dogs for anxiety and stuff, but there is still a HIGE difference between emotional support dogs and service dogs, they have different qualifications and trianing
I have really really bad panic attacks at school as well as like overstimulation and anxiety- I usually bring one of those tails that like therian and furrys and stuff collect idk- but I have one that feels like my cat and I like pet it to help me calm down cuz again it reminds me of my cat- I got dress coded for it and they said I had to wear a smaller one- so I got a much smaller one that still helped and they dress coded me again- like what- then they said I could bring a rabbits foot and that’s it- so I brought one of the random animal feet I had and just had it in my pocket- they took it from me and threw it away. Tf is wrong with schools bro
I have ADHD and I autistic people don't believe me when I say this, they're trying to make my puppy which will soon be a dog a service one, My parents have divorced and they said I need one and for the people who are healthy with service dogs, You don't need them.
