Don’t leave water and food out at least while potty training
Don’t yell, correct, etc when they’re using the bathroom.
Put them from a crate or pen to outside and try to get them to go, then crate them back up.
Give lots of praise when they go outside.
We take on the responsibility when we get a dog. We need to change our behaviors if we want their behaviors to change.
The SECRET is really easy and not to many people teach this…All you have to do is control the dogs feeding/water times and place them in a SMALL crate that is only enough room for them to turn around in and lay as soon as you finish their allotted timed feeding/water, (wait 10-20 min take them outside) eventually they pick up on what you are doing rather quickly …DO NOT leave free range food and water out for them to just eat and drink as they please and if they don’t eat and drink when u command them to you should TAKE IT UP IMMEDIATELY (food and water), that teaches them to eat and drink at your command or don’t eat or drink….Once they are fully trained its ok to leave the water out.

I got a dog from the pound over a year ago. She pees and poops where ever she is! I’ve taken her out on a leash and she has to think about going. Then I’d take here in and wait. The crate I leave open because she’ll pee in that and stand in it! I fractured my ankle taking her out in the rain so the things I was doing she’s all messed up now! I put her out on the porch on a leash and when she goes I bring her in. When it snows or rains I have to take her under the porch where she can’t reach the rain and snow. She will eat 5 gallons of snow which defeats my purpose. I thought I was doing everything right but I don’t know! There’s no water after 6 and I do take her out to pee at 9:30-10. I’m up by 5:30and she usually poops on a pee pad and pees in the crate. Maybe she pees in her sleep i don’t know! Help. Yes pee pads are used to protect the floor when she uses them. But I can’t even train her to use those! Help she’s 5 years old part pit bull and I don’t know what the other half is.
So now my house is there toilet, because he doesn't show signs . I will give him a trophy when he poops😮 in the house

My dog is a very assertive dog, he understands I’m the boss, however, he’s been peeing in the house literally minutes after coming inside and this is on a regular so he’s telling me without telling me that either a, I’m the boss and I’m marking my territory, so I did get the E collar what do you suggest I turn that baby up to because I’m not gonna stand for this crap.
I corrected my dog bad when he was peeing or pooping or being bad and now he’s such a human and he’s smarter than a human really I love him so much ❤❤ but dogs are like baby’s you correct them if they being bad and they will learn but I’m no dog trainer so I dunno 🤷♂️
