I have a pittie mix that lost it at my boyfriend one night. She and I were sleeping, and he was working in the basement (he had a wonky sleep schedule then) and came up at some ungodly early morning hour in a Tyvek suit to shower. She didn't charge him, but she woke up, stood over me, and barked/growled the most serious barks I've ever heard out of her. She was apologetic when she realized it was him, but she's always made me feel safe (and generally, she's the sweetest, loves people, especially kids).
I had a pitty that was playing with dad on the bed. I got sick at work and had come home about an hour after I left. My husband didn’t hear me come in but she did. She was on attack mode. She rounded the corner and gratefully saw it was me and stood down. She put the ears down.. head down. We gave her extra love and treats. I never thought that dog had a mean bone in her body but she sure as heck was ready to defend her daddy.
We have a GSD that has mistaken my husband for a threat in the backyard, it was evening, cold outside and he was in his comfy sweats. And I’ve never seen a man yell so loud and strip down so quick. 😅
My Corso doesn’t bark until he sees who it is and if it’s someone he doesn’t know. My other 2 idiots will bark their heads off but my Corso will just look until he sees the person and if they know him and he has 2 different barks. A high pitched puppy bark when it’s someone he knows like saying hi and a deep “big boy bark” when he doesn’t know. He’s still a puppy about 9 months old and is doing great with training, loves kids, and has quickly learned who he can play with”rough with” in the house and who he needs to be gentle with. My teen kids he plays a little rough with but if it’s too much for them they will say stop and he will and my toddler and baby he will just lay with or he will bring his toy to my toddler and lay it down or place it in his lap for him to throw it all gentle 😆

Yep! We had a black German shepherd named Jack growing up as kids. I decided I wanted my bicycle, so I came in through the back to grab it real quick, and Jack charged at me from across the yard teeth showing and fur raised. I just screamed his name and he became goop when he realized it was me but that was a close one
Was playing outside with some kids and it was mostly dark out, we were playing tag and I was chasing after the kids and they were all giggling and screaming, my parents dog that is super friendly and not trained for guarding or anything (but was a herding breed) ran up and bit me-it wasn’t hard but I could tell he was trying to protect the kids and he backed off as soon as he realized it was me.
Soooo any time I'm outside my dog stairs at everything and doesn't let it go guard looking left to right and all. How do I get him to feel either say outside or feel like its healthy for him. He is aggressive but he's trully just sitting and watching and when he sees something he getting ready to pull, launch all things just to be like: What? What? Okay way his chest is out and on all four paws ready to jump – American pitbull
WOW, I had a chow doberman mix that was protective the moment I brought her home & showed her the bed in garage…no one got out of there car except Swans man…not even family… wonderful
I've got a little terrier mix that I have to do this to when I come home and it's a little dark. I have to tell him, it's me jackass so he recognizes my voice. Because he's small but very proactive!
I have too laugh. My brother had this happen with his beagle. Came in with cowboy hat and sunglasses. Dog attacked. Till he wiped the hat and glasses off. Good thing he had boots on under his jeans. Little bugger did rip his pants.
My pit bit my husband one time. He forgot his keys and climbed through the window in the middle of the night. 😂😂😂 I heard a growling and then a scream😅😅😅 She also bit him one time because he was going to spank our daughter. She needed the spanking, but it was funny.
Never had a dog that stupid. My last dog seemed smarter than most humans having superhuman empathy. Accepting food they didn't want to make you happy, then spitting it out when you are not looking.
This is 💯 percent true, I have a bullmastiff puppy at my home and he is just 4 months old and one day my mom was standing next to the Door with her back facing the door, I just reached home from my office and i sneaked up behind to scare her in a playful manner and suddenly my bullmastiff puppy started to bark with all his hairs puffed up and he calmed down only when I gently tried to make him understand that it was me and such guarding instinct from the very young age of 4 months really suprised me and he was like full beast mode on that day
I had a lab that would come out in a rage when I pulled up in a strange car. Very unlike him to be that way. You could see the embarrassment on his face when he realized it was me. I miss him.
Went from a high wag (not feiendly) to level wag (happy) only when Thanos realized it was you. I make sure to great my pittie when i get home. Shes a sweetie, but is definitely a protective breed

My Amarican Akita does that, but once I speak, he's cool

The upside of being poor and having a small house with a small yard is the dog can hear my beat up car even before it gets in the driveway.
Thano's change in attitude as soon as he realized who it was.. 😆😆
Take down your Christmas lights ✨️
Well you did come in with the shoulders down looking very insecure… That ain't his daddy

Well who does that tho
my dog barks at my mom while she’s gardening 😂 then she smells the air and runs up for pets
But they say they are safe with children? Kinda scares me. Id never have a protection dog if I had kids. Whats your opinion on that?
Even my sweet husky does that. That's what he's supposed to do. I always let him know it's me.

Cane Corso over the top

My Akitas were notorious for this. But the second they heard my voice, it was all good. .

Same care with American Amstaff Terrier ❤
Or wearing someone else's clothes I often come home with strangers clothes on.
Yeah my dog doesn’t like hoods and beanies
Thought dogs got such a good nose?
Wow!!
Then your dog sucks !
I have pitbulls thst charge at me but realise half way its intimidating

I wonder if they can’t sense or smell you from that close 🤔
This is truth! My bull mastiff didn't recognize me once. I was in front of my garage. That bark was frightening, she rarely barked.
That proves that dogs are not smart…
Horrible training if your dog doesn't recognize you SMH

The dog was wagging its tail

Wrong. They can smell you instantly

I have a cane Corso, forgot my keys one day and jumped through the window. man's left stitches through my body and I wasn't even mad
"What's up buddy?"
Dog: "How about you jump this fence and find out"
Thank you for your realistic videos!
