Leopard geckos are awesome, I’d argue even easier than gargoyles or cresties. Ambient humidity in your house works just fine. They even poop in the same spot, which makes cleaning easier. I set up a towel in his poop corner and just replace it.
I disagree with so many people that say cresteds or gargoyles are better starters than beadies. They are very fast very fragile and require higher humidity. Yes beardies need space. No their diet is not difficult a monitors diet is somewhat difficult. “Beginner reptiles” shouldnt just be a factor of money. Someone new to the hobby could easily keep a crocodile skink or a savannah monitor so long as they study, prepare and consistently execute
I had a bearded dragon since 2020. I was extreamly young, and he was so good to have for my first pet, he liked baths, he liked being pet, hes never had a black beard. He is amazing and his name is blaze
