I don't know how i literally teached my cat fetch….😂😂😂😂 but i do it with a small little piece off candy because my cats mouth is small just like any other cat

My dog drops the ball and then runs back to me. Can’t get him to bring the ball to me. More steps need to be taught when the dog is not a retriever or other breed that inherently loves to fetch.

This doesn’t work for me. My dog with happily go get it, but he drops it the second I call him back
I can never get my dog to fetch 😭 she would either go get the ball and stay there chewing it not bring it back (no matter how much positive reinforcement I give) or she would get the ball and drop it immediately or halfway to me to get the reward (I wouldn’t give it to her so she would lose interest 🙃)
Very cool and all but when i ask my dog to return he just drops the toy…

Usually don’t need to teach this since most dogs will already chase a toy and go back to you. For a lot of dogs you only need to practice let go/drop it
