What if your dog keeps sitting back up once you pay them
i've been teaching my malinois X how to stay all wrong. I thought you get them to stay and then you walk away and then release them to come to you. This guy walks around does some stuff then walks back to reward them for the stay. It makes so much more sense. Idk why I've never taught a dog like this. Maybe I was just lazy and didn't wanna walk back lol.
I got a German Pointer at the shelter 4 months ago she’s 1 and a half and I just cannot get her to stay

What is a good place board? I’ve had 2 and both broke. My dogs range from 122 to 131 and the weight ends up too much but they love them.
My dog learned down easily, but he doesn't stay down, gets up as soon as he gets his treat.

I'm not a profesional trainer or anything, but I tell ppl to praise the deed, not the dog. My dog knows she's a good girl. I want her to know that it's a "good stay". I can leave in sit/stay in line while I use a porta potty at a music festival.
