A couple of my dogs are bad at pulling. The other ones do pretty well. Now I don't have any problems with turning around. When I tell him it's time to turn around they're on it and say time to turn around and I I turn and start walking and he just goes. He turns and goes with me but he still pulls. The one that pulls the most gets walked the most because he won't stay in a fence
Love your videos. I am 82 and use a walker. I have a large 1 year old Bernadoodle. Not sure I still have the strength for the training, used to. Any suggestions to reach the goal of training her or having her trained? Thank you for your time.
I just wanna say I watched about half this video last night. I tried it this morning and my dog walks way better thank you for your help. I appreciate it so much.
These are the techniques I've always used to train my dogs. I'm happy to see we're on the same page. I love your videos. I'll be watching more of them.
My 4yo bully is well mannered however walking is annoying as hell. Besides his power his sniffes EVERYTHING! If he smells.something nice and decides to stop he makes me stop, that is how powerfull he is and I weigh 190lbs
Hi! Thanks for showing this in big dogs but I have a very energetic old poodle (12yo)😅 He has never been walked before and now I'm doing it to solve other discipline issues, but i would like to ask what's better? Use a harness with a leash or the leash directly attached on his collar (regular one)
I have a two year-old Doberman who has never learned to walk on the leash without trying to tear your arm off.
I watched this video last night, and then used those techniques this morning on a walk.
It was literally just like your video. He hasn’t even needed a harsh correction. I took him out again a couple hours later just to make sure it wasn’t a fluke. 1000% better.
This worked like black magic an immediate night and day difference for some reason I doubted my ability to do it. My dog runs away a lot and I believe it's because I wasnt walking her because she pulled so bad I would let her out in the yard but it just wasn't enough. I believe this technique helped start a new chapter for my dog and me. Grab your fanny packs stuff them with treats and try it out.
Lmao i’ve got a pointer mix rescue She’s like 2 years old And she PULLS When i say pulls i mean when at the start of a walk, full of energy and excitement, SHE TRIES TO SPRINT FORWARD, SHE PRACTICALLY CHOKES HERSELF WITH THE LEASH, panting with much difficulty
But then when i drop the leash (its like not a rolly one? Its a normal one) suddenly she’s fine Stays pretty close, listens if i say “stop” and allows me to catch her again With how hard she pulls you’d think she just wants to sprint away
I think she assumes she has to pull, like that’s a normal thing, like she’s dragging me
I hope i can train her But she, as a rescue, has some trauma on her back i think. Very timid, easily distracted, not very food motivated, so good luck to me
Watching the video… i don’t think i’ll do the hard pulling with that collar. I feel too bad for my dog lol, I can’t do that, she’s just a baby 👉👈 I’ll try more gentle
I need to try this with my husky mix he's huge and strong I can't even stand still without him having tension on the leash I just moved and need to walk him but I couldn't even get a quarter mile walking two goldens and the husky my right arm the one holding him is dead but my goldens walk well and listen they just don't walk straight and its hard to pay attention to them when im playing tug of war the whole time
Ashamed to admit our dog is excellent in every way except for walks, and it's all our fault. My current vacation has me sitting in the truck with my dog because he doesn't know how to walk in public places. I'm missing out on a nice hike and a beautiful view because I failed to give him the training he needed. I am looking forward to seeing the results of this demonstration.
I just tried this technique with my American bulldog and it does work. I don't have a prong collar but will most likely invest in one. This will take consistency but already I've been able to tell the difference in my dog not pulling as much.
Mine grabs the lead with its teeth tries to pull it out of my hands or sits or lies refusing to move even with the halti on 6 months getting stronger not aggressive but jumps up gets excited need these to stop these would love him to walk without lease but too giddy.
i've done this method gently with my new 4 month old bordercollie-corgi puppy I've only had for a few weeks. Worked like a charm with almost no big pops needed. He went from thinking walking is a game to trying to walk so close he's basically tripping me now, though, for a treat. Only walks basically on top of my right leg. Any tips to make him walk to the right of me and not in front of me?

Prong collar…..any more torture ideas?
If you can’t control a dog without pain or torture then you have no business pretending to know what you are doing
Love your videos.

Thank you for your time.
My issue is my Aussie will obey this while the prong collar is on. But when I put a normal collar on, he knows and all training is out the window

Do you recommend one dog at a time? I have 2 dachshunds both are about 20/25lbs and does tends to stress out the arms taking them out 😅
How early can you start training a big dog. Sorry i am afraid that my sister's dog is going to pull her arm or make her fall. I don't want that.

Do you have to use a prong collar for the U-Turn corrections?

How can I do this with my dog who dosent care for treats when he’s outside

Perfect video. Let me try but do i need to change my dog (s.husky) body harness to head collar first? Thank you
❤❤❤ amazing

Can I do this without a prong collar. I have two 7 lb yorkies.

Thank you for the information and God bless.
Finally a video where I think I can do that.
And after this training do you always need to feed them little snacks as a reward or just do it less ?
2 mins and we were 90% better.Thank you
Going to give this a try tomorrow. Will return with results

This is great, well behaved dog is good for everyone especially the pup
What about dogs that get on a scent trail and will not get off it?
Great video, thanks for posting this. I cant wait to go home and start this!
So is this something my son and husband can teach our 6mo lacy dog, Raven, and I can reap the benefit? My shoulders and back can't handle much strain.
Thank you so much! This has helped me so much my dog has gotten tremendously better at walking on the lead since ive watched this video! Ty!
My doberman doesn’t walk normally, He runs in circles around the person’s feet constantly 😭

Love the training. It works with my pit mix and I’m about to train one of my friends dogs now 🙂
Don’t believe in prong collars
Just did this with my 8month husky and it took 25 mins and we’re doing it!!
gonna try this tomorrow with my shiba puppy 😂
Awesome video ! Wish I woulda seen it years ago with my French mastiff that takes me for a walk haha
👏🏾👏🏾
Thanks so much dude. About a month ago we rescued a sweet girl. She’s not bad but we have some work to do.
I have a Staffie and he takes me for a walk. I so need these tips.😂
