I honestly don’t know how but my dog is a quick learner and me and my parents taught her to jump on the door if she has to go to the bathroom but now every time she jumps on the door, she mostly just stands on our porch and doesn’t even go she’s a quick learner and a good dog❤

To convince your parents to get a dog, demonstrate responsibility, do thorough research, and highlight the benefits of dog ownership. This includes showing you can handle the commitment, understanding different breeds, and presenting a well-thought-out plan. Here's a more detailed approach: 1. Demonstrate Responsibility: Show you're responsible: Complete chores, get good grades, and generally be a responsible member of the family. Offer to take on more tasks: Walk the dog, clean up after it, feed it, and generally take on responsibilities associated with dog ownership. Volunteer at a shelter: This shows your dedication and allows you to gain experience with dog care. Research dog breeds: Learn about different breeds, their temperaments, exercise needs, and potential health issues. Consider a foster or trial period: Offer to foster a dog or have a "test run" with a friend's dog to show your parents you can handle the commitment. 2. Research and Planning: Create a care chart: Outline daily, monthly, and yearly costs, including food, vet visits, and supplies. Plan for vacations: Research dog sitters, kennels, or dog-friendly hotels if you plan to travel. Choose the right breed: Consider your family's lifestyle and choose a breed that fits your needs. Be prepared to discuss concerns: Anticipate your parents' concerns and have answers ready. 3. Presenting your Case: Choose the right time and place: Approach your parents when they are relaxed and receptive to discussing the idea. Be calm and respectful: Avoid being overly emotional or demanding. Highlight the benefits: Talk about the positive impact a dog can have on the family, such as increased activity, companionship, and stress relief. Be prepared to compromise: Be open to suggestions and willing to work with your parents on a solution. Be patient: Don't expect an immediate yes and be prepared to wait and continue discussing the idea. This video will demonstrate how to convince your parents to get a dog:
I’ve got a question how many times a day would you have to bring your puppy out to use the restroom? I’m getting a new puppy soon and was just wondering?
Nah cause we go from the crate to outside so easy but as soon as I give her a little freedom she potties in the house. I always struggle with the "tell me when you need to go out and don't kist squat where you are in the house" hump
Pro tip when they do go add a command word after a few reps you can just give them the command and the go right then and there and very quickly learn I only use the bathroom when I am told to. Worked for my puppy only had 2 accidents in the house the very first day and learned if he needs out go to the door and sit. He's currently 10 weeks old fully house broken.

How do you know when it needs to potty?

How will you know that they want to pee?
Playtime is most of time in our house anyway. When we take him out its on a leash and hes sniffing for a spot. ( So its based on consistency)
