I am going to ask this question on quite a few other videos as well, because I am looking for guidance about training a psychiatric service dog…
I have severe depression and anxiety… Severe anxiety with anything to do with doctors, I am also just slSUPER uncomfortable with it… I also have SEVERE anxiety with any social interaction, my anxiety interferes with the way I talk, facial expressions(lol I always look mad during these), and sometimes my legs even can get shaky and i have to sit down… I want to train a psychiatric service dog to help me with my severe anxiety and depression, but I do not visit doctors, and I do not have a therapist…
What I am trying to figure out is… Do you ABSOLUTELY HAVE to have a diagnosis or letter to train my own service dog? Or can I just do it? I realize that service dog registration is not a legal value thing… but I would rather not have to go to a therapist to get a diagnosis of mental issues if I don't ABSOLUTELY HAVE to…. Please if you know the answer to this question let me know
I figure the best way to find out is to ask a service dog handler 😅😅
Can someone tell me if you can get a service dog for any of these reasons bc I rlly wanna know I have: adhd mild anxiety and emetaphobia . I also have like tics but not tics like I can suppress them but yeah
So I'm trying to decide what to do: I have an autism and ADHD diagnosis. Lately I've been anxious all the time that now it is affecting my well-being. I have a 7-and-a-half-year-old French bulldog who helps me a lot. He has some pretty bad separation anxiety so we both kind of help each other with a lot. We are both pretty quirky lol. I probably might have trouble trying to turn him into a service dog because he gets nervous and loves to walk slowly on the leash. He’s also very friendly and some people said that that may not qualify for him to have that job. He really does help me though so I want to teach him some things to help me with anxiety. Do you know of anything I can teach him?❤️🐶
Are they considered a service dog and allowed in places that r not aloud pets bc i am looking for a service dog for my anxiety but i am doing my reaserch.
