I have a mini schnauzer who has seizures that usually start when he’s sleeping. Super strange, he starts licking and then foaming at the mouth which progresses to seizure. It is strange to me that it happens out of sleep
I suggest y’all download his free ebook. ❤ Here’s and excerpt 👇🏻
Magnesium is inexpensive, safe to give at appropriate doses. It is used for people as a sleep aid…so can calm your hyperactive dog. It is also used as a laxative at higher doses…so start slowly. Here are some suggested doses Magnesium citrate and glycinate. Powder is easiest. Doses: 1-2mg/lb once-twice daily. There is a Magnesium citrate powder at 150mg/teaspoon 0 to 10 kg 1/8 teaspoon once-twice/per day 10 to 20 kg 1/4 teaspoon once/twice per day 20 to 40 kg 1/2 teaspoon once/twice per day Above 40kg 1 teaspoon once/twice daily
Where can I find that type of magnesium? I have a Maltese/poodle that has started having seizures. He went from having one in February and the end of last month he is now having two to three a day. He's taking levetiracetam 3 time a day, 250mg cut in half. I'm heart broken. Would luv to no ur opinion. Thx u
It matters what form it's in. I haven't found anything that works as well as magnesium threonate for myself. Although I use magnesium oxide to make magnesium bicarbonate and add a bit of that to my water and it definately helps prevent cramping. I wonder what form they've found most beneficial for pets. Although maybe a bit of cooked halibut fish would be a good source. 😆
So I have a 70 lbs retired working dog, all of the magnesium glycinate pills I've found are super high doses according to your recommendation. Do you have a brand you would recommend?
As much as magnesium is important and crucial to test your dog’s magnesium levels prior in order to know if the pet is WNL or not. For ex. My dog is fed a balanced raw diet with daily protein rotations with no synthetics and when I tested his trace minerals, his Mg levels were normal
Dr Jones please make a video on Pseudo pregnancy for female dogs. I am from Bharat (India) . My female dog has been Sterilised about 1 and Half year before but she suffers from false pregnancy . During this time her glands are full of milk …..making a problem for me as I have to manually take out this milk . Doctors have said that remnants of the ovary may be inside causing a false pregnancy……
does my female dog have to undergo the OH SURGERY again in order to remove these remnants ….or is there any other solution ? Is surgery the only option Sir ????
please sir make a video on this topic… I appreciate your ayurvedic remedies .
I hope you take this problem of my pet seriously …..
