So, I recently started watching your videos and theyโre great! I got the crate you recommended. I realized when I got home heโs only 7 weeks. He will be 8 weeks on Tuesday. I got him yesterday (1/6) and heโs good with pottying outside, but did pee in his bed this last time. I set alarms for every 2 hours to take him out.
HELP! My little JRT was born on September 12; 2022. She is eating everything wooden in my house! How do I stop this? How long will this last? I am at my wits end! What do I do? I love her so much! Please tell me what to do!๐ง๐ง๐๐๐๐
Hiya , my jrt is four months old and has been really good going outside to the toilet .. but last night I had her out twice and she did nothing then went in her bed looked at me and had a wee in it. Accidents happen when they are little but it was like she waited to be a little sod ๐ love her to bits but they test our patience ๐
The hardest thing I had to cope with so far with my girl JR is nipping! Wow! I love her and am not giving up. She is getting better . I love her so much! She is a handful but full of so much love for me! I have no regrets of getting her! ๐โฅ๏ธ๐๐ฝ๐
Everyone who is a paw-rent to a JRT will either get so frustrated with the terrier attitude, throw in the towel, or go insane. My middle child gave me the most grief as a puppy. Through 3 difficult years we had our share of standoffs but through reinforcement of the household rules and lots of being kept behind the gate, Dylan gave in and decided to become a passive child. My girls on the other hand never gave me any serious trouble. Now, 10 years later all I have to do is show hand signals and everyone pays attention and knows what to do.
Please address Heath problems. This usually only happens to big dogs but, JRTโs are a small breed and one that this happens too. I lost my Riley to it. Comes on fast! If possible get your dog immediately to your Vet. No vets on call . He died in excruciating pain in my old my apartment. It was horrifying. Hours of suffering. DNA test for few of other illnesses. Bloat just suddenly happens. No on call Vet anywhere. I couldnโt pick him up ๐โค๏ธ
Great information they are a great joy to have but require a lot of time and care treat them like having a baby they are a 15 year commitment and worth every minute

Interview vets BEFORE you adopt! Get a boarding center, pet foods and Drs. Lined up BEFORE the pet adoptions are approved!
