Don't like seeing budgies with cats. Usually ends badly.

I hate seeing budgies with cats, dogs, much larger hook beak parrots. They are fragile. All it takes is for the predator species to enact its instincts for a second or the larger bird to grab the smaller. I know of a pet budgie eaten alive by the dog that “loved him,” another decapitated by a supposedly friendly ring neck parrot. Plus dogs & cats carry (usually unharmed themselves) several varieties of gram negative bacteria very dangerous to budgies. 👎

It’s in the parakeet family but it is not a parakeet it is a budgie😠
My budgies are totally opposite😭 I've been trying and trying to get their attention, but they just get scared if I even put my finger infront of them or bite me.

Please do not let your cat and bird interact in ANY way. Cats are predators, they have a natural instinct to hunt. Having cats and birds interact is very dangerous for the bird as one scratch or bite could kill the bird. Also you should not let other species birds interact with your budgie especially if the other bird is bigger as they might not get along and hurt each other.

you forgot one more thing, from my experience. budgies are a bit jumpy and hate being touched, so dont expect them to like play with you like in those videos quickly. you bring your finger close to them they are already prepping to fly away

I have parakeets and we live in an apartment. We haven't gotten any noise complaints so far and it's been 2 years since we got them. We'll see how it goes 😜
They used to flock call extremely loud(mostly Flower) but they haven't been doing it lately.
