I have 3 crates lol, one outside, one in my bedroom and we have like a shed next to our stables bc we own horses which I guess u can call the feed room which is like a play area where we put them when we go to work and school but I haven’t had a puppy in ages but I found this set up works really well
Thank you for sharing this. I have told people over and over you can’t use the crate as a punishment and use it as a place to contain them when they’re not being bad because then they think they’re always being bad. 😢
I don't recommend a crate covers. (Or only use it at night, but they may chew a window in it) You can us one if you want, but my dog felt unsafe in it with the cover on.
I recently rescued a nine month puppy with no true training. She is so kind. I’ve gotten her to use pee pads during the nighttime (when everyone is asleep) but during the day we have started her kennel training. First day? She got out and chewed my carpet up. It’s going to be a lot. Second day I used a few of these tips and she was alright. This weekend I’ll be buying a kennel mat and something she can use as a comfort item in the kennel. She’s just exhausted me beyond belief. But I’ve learned routines are great for the fur babies so hopefully by end of the month she’ll have it down
Honestly, I would put a mat. It doesn’t have to be a blanket, but one of those kitchen mats in their crate because my dog scratched the crate and created a hole in the bottom

What if your puppy is afraid of the dark?

Toys are going in the crate. Wth
I’m spoiling them in the crate, it should be their safe haven

I’m glad you said no blankets in the crate because it really does cause accidents and she will chew it up
I think making it isolated and dark is key. At least with my GR puppy it was

Why no blankets or towels?? You want them to be comfortable, right?

My instructions say not to reward them when you get them out of the crate.
Thanks
Idiots. Why close the door on them?
Thanks
Im messing up then.
We have a blanket inside both our dogs crates, what’s the problem?
Outta curiosity, why no blankets inside the crate?
That dog looks exactly like my dog haha! 😂😂
This is what my mom did with the puppy, and I think it works so well
