I adore my adopted one! I used to hate him cuz he was my brother’s who ended up with my mum and dad after my brother had kids. Couldn’t take the constant barking. Now he’s mine. He rarely barks anymore and he’s my favourite thing in the whole world ❤

As a dachshund owner of 3 I can say this is all very true especially the side eye
I "inherited" a 13-yr-old when her Mom, my next door neighbor, died. My chihuahua was "what do you mean he's living here!". A sweet, smart, fearless boy. Took a running dive off a 3' high porch and wasn't fazed a bit. Scared me to death! He died in my arms two days after he stopped eating and slept all day. He knew it was his time at the age of 17. I still miss him. Even chihuahua boy missed him after he passed. I lost chihuahua boy unexpectedly last year to congestive heart failure.
