I try this with my dog and he doesn’t back up but instead jumps or play bites like it’s a game. I try to immediately make him sit again and reward him when he does. Am I just teaching him to jump?
Except for sport dogs, this ruins the heel work…when you want your dog closer to you but you train them to back away from you it’s counterproductive. I see how this could work for just a pet dog but, this will not work in all cases of jumping for all dogs.
😂🤣🤣🤣🤣 HA HA HAAA with our Doggy MAX everything worked with that YESSSSS but with my ANNA 😂😂 HA she does it for many Year's jumping"" onto People's if she was happy to see them. PERFECT VIDEO ❤❤ MANY GREETINGS
Will he only do this with person giving him treats or will this continue regardless of who he comes across? Just rescued my first dog ever so Im just trying to learn. He’s a lab-rottie and I worry when he’s around my 80+ senior citizen parents.
This training makes sense. …but how do you train a dog who gets something he's not supposed to have to drop it and then he gets a treat??? He's stubborn and won't give it up until he gets a treat.
Yes, exactly. My mum has bernese mountain and this big prick loves to greet people by jumping and hugging them out of happiness. But when we come to visit, I am always dirty and my grandma fell many times becouse of it. all our relatives are angry at this. No matter how much I explain my mum to teach the dog proper behaviour, nothing changes.

You don't know my grandmother. I'm wanting that old bat knocked over. Good boy!

And for dogs who don't respond to treats?

Ive done everything for months and months and its been a year. My dog must be retarded.
I taught the specific "back" command. https://youtube.com/shorts/h2tIAO1NfYY?si=dBRqBGmV27y0f-UO
This is a cool, I seen a lot of techniques on this matter before, this is one of the beautiful ones!
Just smack the shit out of it every time it jumps on you and it will stop
Awesome

My dog doesn't like treats. Now what?
omg 😭 what a good boy!!! 🐕 👏 👏 👏
Thank you! It worked instantly with my high energy 6 month puppy!
big dogs should not be jumping on people
I never engage, not IF, rather WHEN the dog do as I want it to do. 😊 The Back up is a wonderful add on to the not jump policy.
What kind of dog is he? He looks a bit like our boy 🙂

I wish all dog training videos were this simple and not dragged out or trying to sell you something or some other bs. Thanks broski
I love the name Taro. That’s so cute.
Oh I gotta try with my Pomsky. He loves attention and jumps on me and everybody that enters the house. 🐾 it’s so annoying.
So what you're saying is you have to have a pocket full of treats all day everyday.
Thank you for this!
Yes. The dog needs to be taught to control their excitement and know about what the owner wants

Ok. My 7 month old tried this over and over and over again. Your idea didn’t work. When I ignore her she just jumps from various sides of me. Help?.
What do you use for treats.

This is called incompetence and ignorance. 🤦♀️
