When we think of dogs, we often think of love, joy, and loyalty. They give us so much affection and brighten our lives. Many people cherish their dogs as beloved family members, but sadly, not everyone treats them with the love they deserve. This is Isabella’s story. Isabella lived a harsh life, chained outside on a short lead, without proper care or attention. Her owner didn’t provide her with food or water, leaving her to depend on kind neighbors who secretly brought her the essentials just so she could survive. Isabella’s only purpose in her owner’s eyes was to give birth to puppies for profit—she had never experienced the warmth of a loving home.
For years, Isabella endured this terrible life, but neighbors who saw her suffering couldn’t stand by any longer. One compassionate neighbor reached out to a rescue group, asking for help. That’s when The Happy Doggo team stepped in. Rescuers rushed over to meet Isabella, and what they found broke their hearts. Isabella’s lead was so short that she could barely move, causing her physical pain and emotional distress. She had been living on that chain her entire life, never knowing freedom.
Despite all she had been through, Isabella’s spirit wasn’t broken. When the rescuers approached her, she wagged her tail and greeted them with a smile, showing her remarkable resilience. The team from Happy Doggo knew they had to get her out of there, but they couldn’t take her right away without the owner’s permission. They reached out to local authorities and other rescue groups for help, starting the difficult process of negotiating her release. They knew it wouldn’t be easy, but they were determined to free her from this life of misery.
After much effort and persistence, the owner finally agreed to surrender Isabella. Her rescuers wasted no time and brought her to a foster home, where she could start the long process of healing. From the moment she arrived, Isabella’s transformation began. It quickly became clear that she was a friendly and social dog, eager to embrace her new life.
Isabella received her own bed, toys, and blankets—luxuries she had never experienced before. Since that day, her joyful smile has never left her face. It’s heartwarming to see how far she’s come, and we are thrilled to witness her happy ending. Thanks to the incredible work of The Happy Doggo, Isabella now has the life she always deserved.

This is her story of freedom and her new life… ⛓️ Beautiful Isabella has been chained up since she was three months old, made to have puppies at just a year old herself. ❌ We can’t go into too much detail but because she was on private property, we couldn’t just take her. She’d only managed to survive because kind locals had been sneaking her food and water. The conditions she was living in were terrible and local authorities had to get involved to get her free. You can see how delighted she was to have her freedom. Now she’s with us at Happy Doggo land and the rest of her life starts here. Her puppies have also found homes where they’ll be loved and looked after. Lovely Isabella will never need to go back to that place again Isabella would not have made it were it not for the help of a kind local feeder and concerned locals. They were able to bring in food and water on a regular basis to keep er alive. They were also able to take the puppies away and find them homes. Getting Isabella herself released was not easy and took a lot of negotiation and help in the background where both Samui Street Dogs and Bern from @soidogfoundationofficial were intrumental.
