My dog was really good while I left, but since I’ve become pregnant she’s got major separation anxiety and howls for hours when I’m gone.

I can’t go out of the door she outruns me and gets there first it’s really hard to leave . I used to give her some food to keep her distracted so I can sneak out but now she knows that if she’ll go to the food I will leave and doesn’t go . She makes me feel awful I don want her to feel like that …

Horrible advice.
Train them to not worry about it. Just leave. You're not asking your dog for permission to let you leave your own house. They should be ok with it. And if they aren't, the owner is feeding this energy to the dog.
Anxiety & mental health trends should not be encouraged nor entertained.

My Boxer took the dead bolt off the door , then went to bathroom and locked herself in there, and tried to scratch her way out.. she’s an alert dog so she was trying to find me.. my already high Anxiety is over the top if I have to leave her

Does my dog have separation anxiety? She only freaks out about me leaving if I leave her put in the open house, but if I put her in her crate and leave, she is fine, she just goes to sleep.
My mom got me a puppy and he has such bad separation anxiety. I have to be 100% in his line of view or else he'll whine. Hopefully this will help!
I believed that my dog is highly sensitive and would react strongly when I picked up keys, a phone to put in a bag, or when choosing accessories. However, I have since learned that this behaviour is typical of a dog with separation anxiety and can be relieved through gradual steps. Thank you!

It doesn't even take leaving the house. If I'm more than a foot or two away from my dog he has a complete meltdown.

I wish this worked for my stubborn Boston terrier she is so strong willed, won't let me out of her sight and she even fights sleeping to the point of being delirious…its getting ridiculous
