I agree on the vet one because if you notice something is off or you have a gut feeling take them to the vet I wish I listened to my gut feeling and my Guinea pig passed🕊😢
Hiii im getting guinea pigs soon and ive been looking for actuall good research for 3 years and i think im ready i wanna make my babys pampered my parents have aggreed to a c&c cage bc others they looked at where small we are getting them from a local farm and im making sure they have a great diet and i will make sure ik what my mum feeds them when im at school just incase
Our guinea pig was like really skinny u could see it's bones.. And it was putting it's food in his water.. And we called the vet.. And they said they will schedule the appointment for our guinea pig the next day but it was to late.. He died the day be for fathers day.. I love u max❤️
How do you manage to keep their cage so clean? I get exhausted and burnt out by school, and with the rest of my family not doing them I oftentimes am too stressed to do anything. I'll wake up at 11 PM realizing I forgot to give them water and get small anxiety attacks until I finally get up and check them. I feel horrible. They have a cage that isn't one of those small ones, but it's definitely not large. One of my guinea pigs chitters their teeth at me and the other one squeaks happily at me. They argue with each other all the time. I don't know what to do, and I'm so exhausted. My parents won't buy anything better so we just have Clorox wipes to pick up poop while redoing their cage, and I feel horrible for them. I spent nearly all the money I collected on giving them more in the hopes it would make up for it all, but it hasn't. I don't blame one of them for being angry at me, but I wish I could give them better. I'm sorry, this is totally a vent, but they poop so much and everywhere. How do you keep it looking so clean? How can I make them happy? How can I stop them from arguing?
My Guinea pig's birthday is almost around the light. I mean, I have 2 of my Guinea pigs, so they're around the line like April, fifth and yeah, this year like they're born in 2024.
Bit of a "story" but my first guiena pig was a piggie who needed resuced and I happened to be researching on them and wanted to get some so I got this piggie to fibd out he was almost 4 who had lived alone for 3 years and has lived in a pet store cage all his life, as he was needed to get out of the situation it took abt a week to find another pig for him which happend to come in a Midwest (I had ordered c&c grids but they took to long) so I tried to bond them once and I didnt like how it was going after about 6 hours no blood or anything but I was about to leave for school so J put them back and tried a couple days later which was a big mistake they got into while I was cleaning (Mind you it was going well Pickle (first pig) had been laying down he even fell asleep once and Bean (Skinny pig) was just pop corning having fun) I made a noise and they started going at it bad I pushed a trashcan over top of them then eventually just kinda stuck my foot in between them to stop it (Didnt have anything else) there was blood all over Bean as its easier for him to get cuts, I sanitized and bandaged it up as the vet was closed the next day we took a look at it to see it had already closed about a week later Bean was in free roam and got under my bed which had something shape Im guessing anyways that popped and puss started ozzing out we took him to the vet they said it was very minor and just needed flushed so I had to do that for a while and hes all better now, Now for the questions. Is Pickle (First piggie) considered aggressive? Should I try to bond them again woth more safety precautions? Should I try to get Bean a buddie or would he be to tramitized (If I get him a buddy it would be a female and I would neture him) Thank you for your help!
