I have nothing against a 55-kilogram Rottweiler, as long as it can accelerate the weight.

I adopted a 5 year old rottweiler, our first walk he dragged me across the road for a possum (and that was when he was severly underweight) and he would sit at the front window and bark at anything that got too close to the house, even if birds were in the front yard, if my husband threw me over his shoulder Max (the rottweiler) would try and get me down and would not let up until I was back on the ground, we couldnt play fight/wrestle cause Max would jump in the middle but he was also the most well behaved and incredible dog just very protective of me and the house, but I always put that down to the life he had before us, he came to us so skinny and covered in scars and cigarette burns, a permanent kink in his tail from being broken and half an ear missing.

Our neighbor has a rottie. When I first saw this dog a year ago as I was walking our dog, I crossed paths with him and the owner. My first thought was, "Is this dog going to be aggressive?" Especially since he was staring at my dog. But he wasn't and hasn't been. He has good owners that have trained him obviously to not act up. Sometimes he will just go the other way when he sees us, and I have done that too Sometimes. Some people will do that in the neighborhood to be respectful. Anyway, I appreciate a good responsible dog owner. As the old saying goes, there is no such thing as a bad dog.

They’re only “territorial” if raised that way.

Territorial doesn’t mean dangerous, aggressive or violent, unless raised that way.

This guys opinion is shit already

I’ve had pure bred rottys my house life.

In experience territorial means curious. Not even once anything else….. except for cats.

    Rottweilers hate cats.

And they also love to try to hump skunks.

And they’re so strong they can break their leash anytime they want. Doesn’t matter the leash.

That’s should be your biggest issue unless your a douche or buy douchebag breeder.

A lot of "thats why you train" comments… keep in mind, the vast majority of pet owners (especially the so called animal lovers) think overfeeding and cleaning up their poop is the extent of their ownership responsibilities.

They are the sweetest dogs ever! There was a Rottie at the park, and we saw him every day for a decade, and that dog was so gentle with little kids, small dogs. I never saw him fight with other dogs; he broke them up. He was the chillest dog I've ever met.

I know my 8-month-old rottie is pretty docile, he doesn't bark at any loud noises or people unless it's my problem neighbors that fight almost all the time, and he does chuff and growls at the dude when he starts shouting at his Gf but that is the only time, he does that.

I do also use your videos to help me with training him and absolutely watched almost your whole channel 3 months before I got him to make sure, I knew what I was doing and I recommend your channel to people when they bring up how I train my dog!!

We have multiple Rotties, owning and fostering. You got it right in one: our "big one – Old Hercules- is huge (140 pounds plus) and he can be a serious guard dog – until a Butterfly comes across his nose! Immediately he get's dreamy eyes, turns to mush and tiptoes after that butterfly, following every movement of the butterfly! From that moment on you can consider him "off duty" and he is in Rotty-dreamland!😂
